54 choke removal

Is the choke bezel part of the shaft and removes with choke wires from the front? is the procedure for taking this out to turn the crimped section just back of the dash toward drivers door which loosen nut at back of dash which starts to bring unit loose at bezel side and when nut is free it all pulls out from the front then? Don't want to do this wrong and break something. Thanks, Brad.

Brad, don't mess with the bezel it is fixed. Just loosen the big nut behind the dash and pull the cable out through the nut and the hole in the dash.
