70 L46 Manifold Vacuum fitting w PB hose

I searched the archives and found great pictures of vacuum fitting on back of manifold for manual brakes.

Does someone have a good pic of the back of the manifold with fitting and hose routing for PB. This is the fitting where the metal vacuum lines attaches from the booster and there is a second rubber line with a check valve.

I am looking to see how the line with the check valve is routed.

    Thanks, Bill

    Hi Bill,
The pictures I'm looking at show the hose and pipe connection from the booster run to the rear of the carburetor not the vacuum fitting on the intake that supplies the vacuum for the lights and wipers.
I also see the supply line with the check valve and filter running in one of two ways; from the fitting on the intake directly toward the vacuum tank, or from the fitting running first towards the passenger's side of the engine before looping around the rear of the distributor and heading to the tank.
Here's a picture from my 71 showing the hose/filter/valve as described in the first . This is a 4 speed car and the fitting in the intake has only one nipple. I see some pictures showing a fitting with two nipples with one blocked off with a short piece of hose with a bolt in the end.
    Regards,
    Alan

      HI Alan,

Thanks for the pic. One of these days we really should try and get together. I can slobber all over the work you have done in restoring your 71.

70 is a little unique in that the metal tube from the booster attaches to the intake manifold fitting. I am pretty sure 71 and later go to the back of the carb.

There is a second small opening that is for the vacuum supply for the wiper door and headlights. I never had all the shielding on so I am looking to see how the hose is routed to the fitting on the intake. The metal tube from the booster can only be installed one one and have it work.

        Hi Bill,
The 70 picture I have shows the supply from the intake to the vacuum tank running around the rear of the distrbutor to the supply tank. The white filter is about 6" from the intake fitting, and the valve is about 4" from the point the hose starts to pass above and behind the booster. (So.... intake fitting / hose / filter / hose / valve / hose / vacuum tank.) Having the valve and filter close together as in my pcture must be more typical of some 71 engines.
        Great day here.... for sure!
        Regards,
        Alan
