Is this sticker on the air filter correct for a 1966 327 with 350hp. I was told they were not used until 1967. I can't find the answer in my Nolan Adams guide. Thanks for your help.

Re: Air Filter Sticker
You are right! In those pictures there are no valve cover stickers like the 1967 motor. I also have Tom Falconer, Collector's Originality Guide, 1963-1967. His illustration on page 86 has the valve cover sticker without the air filter sticker. I'm so confused.- Top

Re: Air Filter Sticker
Bill, I agree with you in regards to the air filter sticker. I don't think it is correct and I'm going to remove it. As far as the valve covers I'm not sure why you would think they are not correct. During the 1966 model year the mold used developed a crack, page 360 Nolan Adam, The Complete Corvette Restoration & Technical Guide it is also noted in the other reference materials that I'm using. Therefore i disagree with you in that regards. Thanks for your help!- Top

Re: Air Filter Sticker
It occurred during the model year, not present on early cars. Also, in the original '66 variant, the flaw is barely visible, and became more visible throughout the '67 model year. Then Service became the outlet, and the deterioration continued. Yours with the "O" in Corvette half filled is circa mid-70's flavor.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: Air Filter Sticker
I've always understood that '66 used horsepower stickers only on the valve covers, and '67 used stickers only on the air cleaner lid.
Noland notes two incorrect items in the captions for those two photos on page 359, and there are several more that aren't mentioned; those are not factory photos.- Top
