    1957 Corvette FI Cut-Away Engine

    Has anyone seen this engine up close. It`s eBay 110478841391 and is located in Kalamazoo. Any comments about it`s authenticity??

    I can't believe they are selling it. THe owner has had it for an eon and yes it's the real deal. Go for it.

    Just went to look at the pics of the engine to see if it's like I remember my old pics. It's genuine folks.
    First time I heard about this engine was 20 years ago. The owners had a pic of it on their business card.
    25,000 is starting bid but not the reserve. Good museum piece for one of your big time collectors.

    This engine belongs in the Corvette Museum. JD

      What about the blue GM logo?? As I recall, that`s a modern day version.
      I`ll have to get some things out of my collection for detailed examination.
      Does anyone know the lister of this item??

        When I was in college (25 yrs ago) there was a 65 version of the same type of cutaway in the Mechanical Engineering lab. Hmmm maybe if I make a donation ?????.....

          The auction ended with a final bid of $29,100 which did not meet the seller`s reserve. Has anyone had contact with the seller to determine what the reserve was or where the museum is located which has the display engine??
