Forgive my ignorance but what are we talking about which piece of stainless ? Are you talking about the cove area or dash pod area. I'm a bit slow ! Stewy

The brushed aluminum in front of the package tray with CORVETTE on it is held in place by stainless steel trim at the to and bottom which in turn is held by a steel bracket that bolts to he dash structure. Sully

The pieces in question are the top & bottom stainless in the attached picture.
