I am looking for help on the fuel lines from the carb to the fuel filter then from the fuel filter to the fuel pump. According to the assembly manual the fuel filter bracket is mounted AIR Pump bracket ( Therefore the filter is set off the block a few inches). Can anyone share any correct dimensions of these lines and/or post a pictures so I can look at the configuration as well. My car is 427/390hp 4 speed with a/c. Thanks Jeff

Re: Fuel Lines For 68 427/390hp
Hi Brandon, I did order get a set of them and they do not fit. Could you please a picture of your set-up for me to review. The top line the sell from the carb to the filter is to short. If the fuel filter bracket was not connected AIR pump bracket then it would work. I also had Richard Fortier make me a set and he is stumped as well. Thats why I bought the lines from paragon because richard wanted me to see if they would work.- Top

Re: Fuel Lines For 68 427/390hp
This fuel filter bracket is mentioned in the '68-'69 TIM & JG on page 55 for all Rochester-carburetor-equipped cars. This may not be correct. The '69 AIM does show the bracket on small blocks, but does not show it on the L36. l bought the bracket from Paragon, but cannot find any way to make it fit either. This has been discussed before.

Re: Fuel Lines For 68 427/390hp
Dennis, thanks for the posting, this is a very interesting subject that has me stumped why the lines will not work for the 427/390 engine. The set of line I purchased from Richard Fortier and the set I bought from paragon are the same in configuration and lenght, The difference is that Richard line material is correct. If anyone has had there 68 L36 car judged and would kind enough to explain what is the correct thing to do, I would really appreciated it. If someone could post a picture of the correct configuration that would be great too. To me, after reading all the previous postings, I am not certainly alone on this issue, but there seems there is no really clear direction on this. Any input what to do is welcomed. Help. Thank you Jeff- Top

Re: Fuel Lines For 68 427/390hp
Jeff,
I think these are the pictures you are looking for. The bracket for the fuel filter does not fit and has been left off. Hopefully this will be addressed in the next edition of the '68 / '69 TJM if we ever get started.
Let me know if you need other pictures.Terry Buchanan
