    1967 Interior Restoration

All the best 2010 everyone. I'm in the midst of completing an interior restoation and need some help.
I don't have a judging book so I'm asking if someone can answer a couple of questions.
    1) I want to order some labels for my seat belts but I'm not sure what date they should read. My car was built on April 28, 1967. Also were should they be located when sewn in.

    2) I want to freshen up my dash pads, centre console, steering column and the panels were the side vent controls are. I'm not sure if they should be all of the same shine (high gloss, semi gloss or flat etc...)
After speaking with Corvette Central, they say the black dye used for the dash pads will be good for everything else in terms of the shine finish. Can anyone please confirm. I want to get the car judged and want to make sure I get the right stuff.
Also if anyone can tell me were the best place to purchase this.

    Thank You

I don't know why these vendors always recommend dye for everything. If its a hard fiberglass part, it should be done in lacquer. If its soft vinyl, it should be done in dye. Black may be a little more consistent as to color and gloss, but original interiors are a varied mix of colors and gloss.

Seat Belt Tags. They require a very heavy thread (#210??). I had mine sewn by a shoe repair shop after supplying the thread.

My original tags were dated 12E67. That date was not available from the vendors so I used 10E67.

My car is an April 10 67 coupe.

Possibly Charlie Santorelli can assist with your tags. He did the belts and tags for my 63. 908-719-2354.

Do a search on him. He will come highly recommended by NCRS members.
