Is the white rim around the ignition switch on the instrument panel molded on the panel or a separate painted piece?

What's that on the armrest on the door pad ?... looks like a door lock of some sort

I think that's the lock for the armrest cover, but Ray will know better.

Sorry, These are pictures printed from original negatives.
The only two available.

A friend who was able to get them from GM Archives gave them to me knowing of my interest in Corvettes.

The US flag on the emblems was only shown at a preshow at Chevrolet Motor Division. The US flags were changed before the first Motorama showing because US flags can't be used in company emblems/advertising.
