OK, another question. I am trying to find out what the part is and what it is called that connects to the radiator support and to the fan shroud. There appears to be a place here for something. I don't have the part and need to identify it and purchase it.

Re: lower radiator/fan shroud
I've talked about that in an early post.
And your the first person ever to ask about this.Repro suppliers only mention and sell a four piece Radiator shroud for 55 and 56 and don't realize there are FIVE pieces .Dave Ferguson was nice in sending me a drawing ,he has two different ones 1st design and later second design as seen here. It goes between the lower shroud and radiator support .When I see a 55 to 56 missing the two clutch head screw in the lower piece I know it's missing it (see lower pic).slotted holes. The JM don't mention it but if it ever gets done it will. The lower shroud having the two holes was carried over till it was changed .
My guess is that the early 55 used the two angle supports (top pic), Left and right ,my 55 #401 has the large one piece support. Hope this helps you out.
.The large support has a {S} logo centered .

Re: lower radiator/fan shroud
roy, excellent print. would be a easy piece for a person with a shear and break to reproduce! i'll also need one. has a point in production been determined for the change in bracket design? dave's 1064 and your 1401 is quite a gap. grossmueller's listed a "6 pcs-correct repro" radiator shrouding for a 55 v8. could they have fabricated the two early bracket parts?- Top

Re: lower radiator/fan shroud
It's coming along Roy. Got the steering column in. Finished the wiring under the dash but still need to dress it. Tried the electrical and all is working correctly. I want to get my radiator area done so I can start the damn thing. But patience is a virtue.- Top
