HD C2 rear end cover ?

Is a hd rear end cover really needed, i have had 4 cars with the original without any problems....

The HD covers are very good, they have thicker ears that should not break if incorrectly loaded,the iron is said to be better as well. Do you need one? as long as you correctly load the originals and street drive probably not. I use them in the 12 bolt conversions.

Not if you torque your spring bolts correctly. Or you are going to do serious stuff at the track.

While I am sure the improper installation of the spring, and hard use of the car can result in breaking of the cover, most of the broken covers I have encountered were the result of someone improperly jacking the car up from underneath.
