    Family needs your prayers

We just received some devastating news this morning. A little girl from our areal, Allie Page, who had undergone a heart transplant this past summer at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis passed away. Our club had a car show this past summer to help the family with some of their expenses. Everything seemed to be going fine with Allie and then over the week-end she picked up a virus. Her Mom and dad took her to our local hospital and thought everything was okay. They had checked with her heart doctor and he said she could go home and he would check her today in St. Louis. Allie has 2 older sisters. It would be traumatic to lose a child anytime but unimaginable what the family is dealing with at this time of the year. Allie just turned 2 last week and they were able to get some pictures of her smiling on her new bike. Please keep the family in your prayers they need every one's help to get through this.

      Henry,

You can count on my prayers and I will put Allie's family on the prayer list at my church.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. - Romans 8:26

Hi Henry My wife and I are expecting our second child (a boy we named Gabriel) in Feb of 2010. My son David recently celebrated his third birthday (He was the boy driving his wienermobile pedal car at our first time at Carlisle last summer) Gabriel will need three heart operations after his birth. We will pray for Allie and Gabriel with the power of two religions as my wife is Roman Catholic and I was born in Israel. I will share a story with you. In 1993 a group of friends from NJ traveled to Crested Butte Colorado for a Mountain Bike Festival. We rode all day surrounded by snow capped peaks, the largest birch tree forest in the world, and soothing fields of wildflowers in every color. Miles away from town, deep in the mountains there was a Iron fence approx 12x14. In the center was a grave with a headstone. In the late 1800's a little girl named Sarah was laid to rest there. The stone spoke with her message "To all of you that pass on by, as you are now once was I, as I am now one day you'll be, prepare yourself to follow me". God has a special playground for children. Thank you Ted. That had to be an inspirational bike ride for each of you. Please keep us posted on Gabriel's operations. Know many of us here will have your family in our thoughts and prayers.
