After the AMA ban on racing took effect Ed Cole sold the Bill Mitchell SR2 to Eb Rose for $1...so he could campaign the car with back door support.

Standing at the front of the car is Eb's wife and to her left is George Moore..life long friend and mechanic. In the background is the George Moore 54 Corvette that later received a drivetrain transplant from another Sebring Corvette.

The Bill Mitchell SR2 is now owned by Bill Tower and is still one magnificent car!

I'd LOVE to see some recent, updated pictures of the first three SR2s (owned by Rich Mason, Bill Tower and Richard Fortier). I have plenty pictures of John Neas 4th SR2.

I was recently in Indy for business and could not resist seeing the hall of fame museum where I took these pics w/ BB. It was great seeing this car there.

'Used to go to the 500 Museum monthly to see the SS when we lived in Indy. In the 80's the three SR-2's were on display at Super Chevy in Indianapolis. That was a sight to remember. Now I will have to look for those pictures.
