    C1 Aluminum Dash Insert Housing

    I am rebuilding a dash insert for a '61 and need to clean up the inserts support frame/housing. There is some rust on it that will clean up easily. However, what was the original finish of the supporting frame/housing?

    Was the hardware that holds the assembly in the dash nuts and separate washers, or was it a flanged nut?
