    I've used one of the tumblers from HF with the ceramic pyramids. I've used it once. I let it run for 4 hrs with the front a-arm busing bolts and washers. It helped but it is very slow. A wire brush is faster. So I don't use it anymore.

      There are many ways to skin a cat, but Steve should be aware...Once carbon steel is clean to "white" or "near white" condition, it will begin to form a rust film almost instantaneously after being wetted with water. It will make the rusting after blasting seem like a glacial process.

      If distilled water is used, the plan should be to rinse them and throw them directly in the crock pot after rinsing. But, then the problem becomes a timing problem, because the fasteners will have been in the parkerizing solution differing amounts of time.
