Big Block Air Deflector Extn - Joe Lucia Help

3" piece of die cut rubber attached with pop rivets to the air deflector of '73 LS4's. Dealer installed in response to TSB 73-T-28 5/14/73 to overcome overheating.
See one with a GM paper tag with part # 466651. Looks like GR.1.263 or GR.1.283.
Is this correct?

The GM #466651 is a radiator lower grille EXTENSION applicable to 77-79 Corvettes with HD radiator. That part number did not even exist in 1973, so I don't understand how a 1973-issued TSB could have specified it. Of course, if the TSB was issued much later, I suppose it's possible that the 77-79 part might have been specified as a "fix" for earlier applications. However, the 466651 was never cataloged by GM for any earlier application.

I wasn't very clear. I am citing the TSB as referenced in the '73-'74 JG. I don't know what part # the TSB specifies. I saw 466651 for sale, represented as a "1973-74 Big Block Corvette Spoiler Ext - NOS" and wondered if this was true. Based on your research, it's not. Thanks for saving my money!

Yes, I think that's the one that would be required. It was discontinued without supercession in July, 1985. However, I think it might be available in reproduction.
