Convertible Top Frame: Paint or Powdercoat ???

Has anybody had experience with powdercoating a convertible top
frame? It seems to me it would be more durable if you don't coat
it too thickly. Car will not be judged. Any suggestions or experiences? Thanks !!!

Powder coat flows at about 350-400 degrees. All of your plastic bushings would melt in the process. You'd have to drill out all of the rivets and completely disassemble. I wouldn't go that route.
