1966 L72 Intake Question

The JM states that the aluminum intake manifold is unpainted / natural.

My question is what is the finish condition of the intakes mounting surface on the cylinder head: orange, natural or silver paint?

66 425 HP head mating surface for the intake is painted orange.

Thank you Rich ---- follow up question: Did the factory then paint the intake mating suface of the heads prior to the installing the intake, because If not they would have had signifcant and ugly orange overspray on the natural aluminum intake manifold?

A mask was used to cover the manifold during the engine paint process, there was generally some overspray at the edges of the manifold.
