350/350 RH Valve Cover Engine Suffix Label

Does anyone have a good source for buying a RH valve cover engine suffix code label that will pass NCRS judging for a 1970 Corvette? I can find them for 1968 and 1969 Vettes, but not 1970.

    Hi Duane,
I believe Patrick Hulst has helped some members with the suffix lables. I don't think anyone is reproducing them as an enterprise. I bet he'll pipe up.
    Regards,
    Alan

Here's the original from my 71, 350/270. I retrieved the picture from a post from last year. I post it just to give you an idea of the configuration in 71.

Duane, I Used My Computer To Make Up My Own, It Takes Alittle Time To Get The Letter Size And Font And Color Correct.

Allans Measurments Should Help With The Sizing Of The The Letters.

I had Patrick make mine for me.

EXCELLENT work - dead on correct.

I just did a search and in 2000 Patrick Hulst posted saying he was considering making these labels. Does anyone know if he is doing reproductions? Better yet, maybe Patrick can respond.

Per rules, we're not supposed to solicit business on this site.
So, I'll just say that the answer is posted above.

                  Sorry Ed.

I've put a lot of time and effort and even money into getting my labels as correct as possible. I lose money on every one of them and while I would not mind comparing I'm not up to posting my efforts for everyone to download and print. I do not sell labels to make money but rather to help the hobby and the nominal cost I ask only defrays a small part of the expenses. Those who happen to purchase from me understand this.

                        Hello:
What kind of glue is recommended as there is a lot of heat in this area?

                        Thanks; Larry

The originals (and some reproductions ) are self-adhesive. I suspect that some type of contact cement would work if one felt the need to add "extra" glue.

Remember the original glue only had to hold until the engine was installed int he chassis. My suspicion is that it did not react well to heat and that is the reason we see so few originals.

Based on the residue I've seen -and own - on original valve covers I think you are correct.
