I need to have a new convertible top installed. I understand that the original had a heat sealed rear window and the Al Knoch piece has a stitched window. Is that a problem during judging? Also, is the absence of a date stamp on the top a deduction? Thanks.

Re: Convertible Top Judging
I just bought one on EBay with a stitched window. Looks like the guy has a garage full of these things for different years. The same listing I purchased from is up again. The link is below. It came in an Al Knoch box and has an Al Knoch tag stitched into it. Did they ever make a stitched window version? Maybe this guy has old stock.
I get the feeling I just wasted $129 plus shipping.

Follow up on E Bay Convertible Top
Ends up that Knoch had a run of these things a while back with a problem with the heat sealed window seams. To clear the stock, they stitched the windows, disclosed the issue and sold them at a discounted price. It was one of those that I picked up on E Bay.
The seller was very good about it and agreed to give me a full refund. It's actually a pretty good deal for a car that's a driver. Although, it would have been nice to know this before I bought it.- Top
