    70-UP Headlight Vacuum Relays

I am getting ready to list sell this part and want to make sure that I have the right description. What year did they switch to the dual headlight relays? 70? 71? or 72. This is the mounting plate for it.

Thanks in advance for your time, Rich

October of 1969, during later 1969 model year. I am not sure that it changed all at once. That is on September 30 they used one headlamp relay and October 1 the dual relays. It may have been whichever fit the vacuum harness for a period of time. I have seen several first week of October (single digit dates) with dual headlamp relays. These are trim tag dates I am referring to.

      Thanks Terry,

I just finished a 10-10-69 build date 435 that had the single.

Well I guess that confirms my suspicion that it didn't happen all at once. From long experience with changes to the C3 vacuum system (often more experience than I wanted ) I know better than to think anything is cut and dried with it. Of course it could be a BB v SB thing, but even that is probably too simple.

For your ad you would be safe listing it as "1970 and up," or stating "some later 1969s. and newer"
