    1962 Lower Posts Tabs Broken

The lower posts are broken on my "62". While they are out of the vehicle I would also wants them repaired with steel tabs and rechromed.

I know that Al Knoch Interiors can repair them with hardened tabs, but I don't believe they do any rechroming.

Could anyone recommend someone that will do both the repair and the rechrome?

    Thanks,

    Tom Fontana

Thanks Mike, I see that Corvette Central offers a repair of tabs, but I don't see where they rechrome.

        Tom,

Paul Mazut also advertises that he does tab repairs. I don't know if he offers re-chroming, but you can always send them out to be chromed. I would be more concerned with how good a machining job they do on the tab repair.

If you have Corvette Central (they have done many for me) or someone else do the repair be sure to send them out for chrome with the tabs attached to the posts or you will not get them back on after chroming.
The Central tabs after repair are a very close tolerence fit.

Paul Mazut does a great job with a quick turn around but I don't think he does any re plating. I believe I paid $100.00 a pair plus shipping for the last pair he did for me. Rich

Thanks for the input on Paul Mazut. I looked at his web site and found that he is located in Lee, MA; This is about an hour from my home.
