1963 Owners Folder?

Can anyone tell me with certain what color the 1963 Owners Folder was?
That's the folder sent to new owners by GM with the Owners Pin, Owners Card, Patch and a copy of Corvette News in the folder.

I'm not looking for speculation here. Just facts! Owners of new 1963 Corvettes (Gary Mortimer) responses would be nice.

I am not the original owner of one and I'm certainly not Gary Mortimer, but I have seen a few. It was sent in a red and white envelope. The folder was also red and white. The title on the front cover read " For America's Most Particular Motorists"

Inside the kit was a current issue of Corvette news, a thank you letter, a new style owners card and of course the patch and pin.

If you have the old restorers, Alan L. Severson did an article on the subject years ago.

This "style" of kit was used from 63 to 66.

Sounds right to me, but then it was 46-1/2 years ago. I still have most everything, but never made a big effort to put it togther that way (as received). Papers are in a binder, pin is in my jewery box, and patch is clinging to my car's carpeting with velcro. Original owners manual is in the binder and a repro is in glove box. And that's the way it goes when you have no interest in selling and your show days are over.

Let me know if you need a copy faxed ! The article was titled. 1957-1973 Corvette Owner Kits. By Alan L. Severson. Maybe that will help the search.

Thanks to all of you who have responded. As a result of your action, I was selling a BLUE Folder on E-babe labeled as a 1963 folder. The error has been corrected and hopefully no damage was done as there was no bids.

My apologies to anyone following the mis-labeled item and again thanks to all who helped me correct my error.

Yes, after looking thru several of the "Restorer" magazines Norm pointed me in the right direction of the Spring 1986 "Restorer". After reading the article, I discovered I had a 57-62 Blue Folder.

As the saga continues, I have had responses from two 1963 owners and they have 63's in the higher SN 17,000+. These cars were bought from the original owners with all the paperwork. These cars have owners folders and they are blue.

It becomes apparent that the blue folders were used until they were exhausted. I do have documentation of 1964's with the original white owners folders.

The paperwork seems to follow the same story as hardware. Chevrolet did not waste a lot of hardware if it would fit the application and function as intended. We see this repeated time and time again.
