The date is plausible, but the FK code is an issue. I have documented MANY earlier 62's, and all had stampings that were consistent with correct 62 codes, not 61.
It's very possible that this one was installed on your car from the factory, but would definitely be a factory anomoly. It's a late 61 unit--very possibly ended up lieing around until November, when it was installed on your car. The burden of proof as to its correctness and originality would fall to you in a judging situation.
If I were you, I wouldn't change it or worry about it.Comment

Thanks Bill. When I first saw that 4 on the end otf the date, it was "how can that be".
I also learned that it is actually a 4:11. I haven't driven it much but was guessing a 3:70. Guess I won't be going anywhere real fast!!Comment
