    62 FI Heat shield fasteners

    Guys;
    I need help with what fasteners are used to hold the heat shield that protects the windshield washer assy. from the left exhost manifold on a 62 Fueler.
    Thanks in advance.

    Ken, Do you mean the heat shield on the passenger side inner fender that shields the washer bottle on FI cars? According to the AIM, there are 3 bolts #160046, They are #10-32 by 3/4" long. I just looked at my car 62 S/N 33xx (early FI car), they are clutch heads. Hope this helps. Barry Holmes

          Barry;
          What is the finish on those screws and what type of washers and nuts are on your car?
          Thanks.

            Early were clutch head, later were phillips. Where was the change? 3390 had phillips, 3361 had clutch heads. (Built the same day) My guess is that it was a running change, but some time in the 3000+ range is when it began.

              Ken, The bolts appear to be cad plated, with flat washer, & nut. Just a guess from the AIM, (my car is packed away in the trailer, & in the garage for the winter). Won't be able to check for sure til spring.
              My car is an early s/n Barry

                Does anyone have a source for these 10-32 clutch head screws? All I can find are phillips head. Rich
