I have an original seat back for my 75 coupe that is cracked vertically. I replaced the back with a reproduction several years ago, but I kept the original in the garage. Can I repair it with fiberglass or an epoxy resin? There is only one crack in the middle, and it is invisible when the seat is not stressed with the driver's weight.

Re: seat back repair
Gary, I Repaired One Of My Seat Backs , I Used Fiberglass Matt And Resin And Used A Heavey Hand Weight To Hold Alittle Pressure While Drying, Some Off The Resin Bleeds Through The Crack And Thats What I Used To Make The Repair On The Outside Of The Seat Back,a Little Light Sanding, Was All I Needed And Eched The Texture Back In With A Scrib. Looks Almost Invisable When Done.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
