C2 front valance

Last week someone asked about the fastners on the front valance of a C2. I checked out my 63 and found the fastners missing. On the drivers side of the front there is a hole about 1/2" in diameter in the proper location. That seems a little big for the bolt even with a washer. On the right side front someone filled the hole in. I thought I would install the bracket and bolts.
Does anyone know the correct size of the hole?
I was working on it for a while yesterday and it won't be easy to install that bracket.

As i recall the fastener is a 1/4 - 20 { NC } pan head phillips with a lock and flat washer, flat washer is aprx 5/8 " OD so 1/2 " hole is a bit large but should cover,
When installing the L bracket / nut plate make sure the nose adj rods are in place and get them adjusted back to where they belong.
