It is in a parts car and wanted to know if it be worth cuting it out before the car leaves..

Bill,
That bulb thing is the housing for the rear window defroster. Looks like the motor/fan plus ductwork is missing.

Hi Bill,
In the first picture it looks like something is written with crayon on the underside of the rear deck... MC 16... maybe?
Do you know what that indicates?
