While disassembling the interior of my 70 we should have taken more detailed pics. I'm not sure what screws are used to attach the lower steering column cover to the dash pad (2 screws) and steering column (1 screw). Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 70 Lower steering column cover
Joe,
on the 69's I have done the screws have been countersunk phillips head #8 thread and #8 head. Most have had a attached countersunk washer. And they were chrome.
Hope this helps to point you in the right direction, Rich- Top

Re: 70 Lower steering column cover
Joseph----
The side screws are chrome, phillips head, #8 sheet metal screws about 7/8" long. They are equipped with a chrome ferrule.
The center screw is identical except about 1/2 as long.

Be sure the center screw does not pierce the turn signal switch wiring harness. If it does, you'll have all kinds of interesting electrical issues.- Top
