man, I sit there fiddling with mine till they are the exact right speed to clear the rain from the dash but not too fast so that they annoy me. I'll speed them up or slow them down in increments as the rain gets worse or less. I hope my perfectionism shows up in my restoration, but prolly my amateur workmanship will be more noticeable

I have only ever had one car with that variable speed that you can fiddle with to get the exact time at wiping but I find it like an electric 50 way seat I just can't get it correct. And if I get grit on the wiper blade and it scratches the screen I go off my head. I just don't like using them my screens have to be perfect or it gets replaced real quick. Stewy

If you have ever owned a C-1 with washers you would NEVER ask that question. It was an option that turned into a curse! The engineers that designed that system are still laughing in their graves.

If I every own another C-1 with washers it will be the first thing I remove and throw away.

It amazes me to see things on cars that just don't work. One of the latest strangest things I have seen was our Pontiac coupe that we exported to the States. It was a great car here badged as a Holden Monaro. But some idiot decided that it had to have dual exhaust exiting out the rear on either side of the car. It was impossible to engineer and be passed by the adr's due to the placement of the gas tank. So instead of running the twin exhaust system next to each other like it had been for a few years some idiot decided they just had to have the twin exhaust apart. So they completely got rid of the trunk so they could fit the gas tank more safely and have the separate exhaust. A family coupe with no trunk with exhaust apart or trunk with twin exhaust side by side. The idiot won and now we have to put up with a family car with NO trunk and exhaust apart. It cost them a sale on my behalf because I need a trunk in my family car. The idiot got his way probably cost the company Tens of millions in lost sales. I hope I never meet that idiot ! Stewy

No the rake on the Pontiac's screen is really good and in my opinion never needed wipers only in heavy rain. Can you imagine getting rid of a trunk for a better looking dual exhaust ? AAAAAHHHhhhhhhh idiots. Here is a photo of the two cars trunk and no trunk was it really worth loosing a trunk over these pipes ?
