65 eBay Project (seems to be bare bones)

Am I interpreting this eBay auction correctly ? Claims to be a '65 coupe "project". All that is shown is (a piece of ?) the birdcage bar with a '65 VIN tag wired on [looks like # 04009].

Three grand buys it now.

The bar and tag are all you get. It may turn into the first 396 prototype car or the long lost and previously unknown ZAD FI car or---

With a little work and a few $$ this could be brought back to life

What you see is the next listing to be pulled by ebay. Ebay prohibits selling VIN tags, which is appears to be the extent of the listing. I suspect this is why the seller has listed it as a project car and is so vague about the description.

Many of us around the Northeast recognize this seller. Been attending swap meets etc for many years.

Always a pile of "interesting quality" stuff. I think that tag came from a tub he probably put more miles on carting it around than it rolled on its own!
