I seem to see it usually on AOS cars, always assumed they were using up stock of the earlier panels and modifying them for use on the new required design
Here is a picture os a 66 425 HP car. 14000 serial # range. This is the original untouched lower valance.

So that means both body build lines were doing it. I will start paying more attention to that. There are so many unique little things going on in early 66! Some of the more interesting ones as this are always around an "oops, need to fix that" stuff

              All,

My September '65 built 1966 roadster had the cut out and extra hole....AOS body. Notice I said "had"....ooops.... has been filled during body off!

                Mike,
I imagine that's happened to lots of cars, no problem, just re drill the holes and cut out the relief again, touch up the edges with thinned paint.

My 67 coupe has the holes on left & right side and the cut out only on the right (pass.) side. is this correct or should both sides have the cut out? Thanks.

                  Charlie

OK now, so, who has the oldest car with the cut-outs?
                      Thank you and HaND
