ran some numbers on my 58 today rear end etc. what gear does it have or had?

here is the part I would like to find out is what my rear end codes mean I did a search on here with the prefix didn't get anything.

The original codes for a '58 rear would be AE,AH,AN,AP,AQ,AS,AT,AU.

CF is used on the '62 4.56 posi, but the date code doesn't work (according to the NCRS Specifications Guide).

Are those all the numbers on the rear end? Are you sure you typed them in correctly? Where is that CF number located?

My dad wrote them down he's 55 so I assume that was with a flash light and his "cheaters"..

so it might not be all of them or he wrote them down wrong etc. When I get off these 6 12's nights I'll take a look myself.

Probably is 3725899---that's a non-posi housing from early 60's vintage. (posibly late 50's also)
If casting date is as typed, that's either 58 or 68. If 68, an over the counter unit.
