1982 color question

There is a metal frame around the front, side marker lights. Should this be body color? The car is grey.

It's a failrly nice original driver getting a freshen-up in my friend's aircraft paint shop. The frames are currently body color, but we're pretty sure the car has a repaint, so we want to make these the correct color if they aren't now.

Hopefully this photo won't confuse the issue but the frame isn't the same color as the body - it is a very dark grey or black. The car is two tone blue but the side marker frame doesn't match the darker colored lower body. Regards,

Thanks, that looks like the grey that is on the frames on the car in question. It is almost a direct match with the grey meyallic paint for 82. The painter wanted to paint them black, but I think I'll convince him to paint them grey.

Ok...next question: Color on the rocker panels/mouldings. (the things below the door sills).

I'm thinking body color. The car is grey.

Sorry for the simple questions, but it's not my car and it is owned by a guy who is not that savy about what's original. Trying to stop any stupid mistakes while it's in the paint shop.

The rocker panels have a satin black finish and are not body color.
