Original PCV hose 1966 327/350 HP

Can anyone describe a original PCV hose for a 1966 327/350 HP engine. I am sure the hose had GM stamped on it in the color gold or yellow. Is the GM just by it self or is there a square stamped next to the GM. Maybe someone has a picture which is worth a thousand words.

    Michael,

The link below is to a previous thread where I posted a pic of an original 65 PVC hose. Not the same as a 66 but there is a distinct difference in the GM script in the original versus the more block lettering of currently available repros.

Don thanks but I saw this picture already. Since it was for a 1965 I was not sure if it was the same as a 1966 327/350 HP. Does anyone know what a original PCV hose for a 1966 looks like so you can describe it to me. Thanks

        Michael,

This is the PCV hose from the '67 L79 that I'm working on, to the best of my knowledge it is original. The expansion tank balance hose (blue "GM" and square box logos) and at least one of the C60 hoses (one marked " " for August, 1966) were original. The 1966 and 1967 AIMs both show the same part number for the 300hp PCV hose on UPC 6-C3, Item 13, 3831055. As far as I know, the same PCV hose is used on the L79.

The hose clamps (GM 3829068, same p/n in 1966 & 1967 AIM) are black, with a capital "D" stamped into the band. Car was built 01-11-67.

That other thread has rounded tangs on the hose clamps and we know they were still squared off. If that is wrong, how can you say the hose is correct?

I have good pics of the original 66 L36 hoses and a 67 -8 BB Chevelle hose asy complete carb to pcv valve. I can't find the evidence on the hose that it was printed. The 66 L36 hoses show distinct ribbing while the shorter but very similar configuration Chevelle is smooth. Neither show the pronounced diamond surface look and the spread M in the GM logo. That spread M seems to be more like a 50's thing.

The GM logo on the air cleaner base connector hose to valve cover was the 60's block letters, no boxes.

Those cars gaining survivor 4 star status this year did not have logos on the hose, some had ribs, some not. Hard to say without more data.
