June 18th sounds right to me. I have 12305, which was completed one day earlier. They probably sat in the same parking lot at the plant waiting to be shipped.

hey mike...the trim tag is not always accurate. my 67 has a difference of 12 days. the trim tag showing F19 (jan 19) and the real birthdate being jan. 31. and both the trim and vin were verified original when i had it 2nd. flighted in may 2009. sometimes things happen on the assembly line to slow things up a bit. whatever problem mine was, i never found out.

                  Nice rant Terry

Mike didn't ask for the car's birthday, BTW, he asked which day 'it was built'. One of the days it was 'being built' was the day the trim tag was stamped and affixed.

This post just proves that I'm more A/R and O/C than you guys are.

H08 is March 08 for a 1972. The on line thingy calculates March 10th.

OK, I just have to ask. What is everyone's interpretation of "birthday"?

My LT1 (02856) has an engine pad stamp date of January 20 (V0120CTU), the trim tag says February 5 (B05), and the birthday calculator says its birthday was February 6. What caused my LT1 to be "born" on February 6?

once a car hits the line, how long does it take until it drives out the other end?

Mike, what defines "once a car hits the line"?

Is it some pieces of the birdcage spot welded together, fiberglass glued up, painted body, or chassis ready for assembly of suspension? Then I have to ask whether you are asking about a time when the plant was running one shift or two? The answer is going to be real different for early 1968 and probably early 1963 production also, but those are specific exceptions probably like early C1 production. Some folks will find anomalies if their car was "stuck" on the line during a work stoppage, but those also are definable exceptions if one does some research.

Even recently Bowling Green production has slowed greatly from that of a couple of years ago, so I suspect even once the terms are defined there will be some variation
