Blackout on mid year hoods

How far did the hood blackout extend on the hood lip beyond the hood hinges? I've seen original hoods (?) where the blackout cuts at an angle on the hood lip just above the hinge and then continues down toward the front of the hood..... Does this blackout continue around the front under side of the hood lip and end at the bottom edge of the hood? Or, does it not continue that far and end somewhere just beyond the hinge....?

What would be correct on my late '64?

Try a search for "Anthony Stein" on Oct 8,2009 has nice pictures of a 65 hood, but should be close. Also copied the link

That hood has way more body color on the front ledge area than is normally seen.
