    Need help finding paint formula

It's taken me three months to find the correct interior paint code (13069 medium dark blue) for my 65 Corvette. Now my painter can't find the formula. He has called PPG and they can't help him. What do I do now? Anyone.

Three months to find the paint code??? Gee, it was only a couple of mouse clicks for me to find it at www.autocolorlibrary.com...

Then, once you have the name and blend code number, you input that to the web site's quote machine and out spits pricing (quart & gallon) along with various related thinners and paint support items. Seemed pretty simple to me to find a source of supply...

      Jack,
Thanks for your help. I went to the web site and they have the paint. Things are easy when you know where to go. This is my first Corvette to restore. Just learning the ropes.

Harvie, maybe what Jack infers is that it would seem that a good professional paint shop would be on top of this. Good luck with the paint job.
        Best regards,

Yeah, Charlie, that was my 'hidden' agenda here...

We seem to get a post about once a month from owners who are seeking blend codes for paint + where to buy as 'go do' actions from their painters. It makes me NERVOUS about the painters and paint shops they're entrusting 'baby' to...

Who are all these guys who can't find this/that information that's rather obviously available with a computer and internet access? If the guy's so good that you'd trust your classic Corvette to him for a MAJOR restoration issue like paint/body work, you'd think he wouldn't be throwing the issue of what paint to use + where to get it back in the owner's lap!!!

Harvie, have a paint jobber scan a piece of your interior and mix an interior paint accordingly. If it you cannot find someone to do it, I have had some of that paint mixed. I will get the PPG # for it.
