C1 Hood Release Handle

Is the lettering on the hood release handle white?

The JG says that the parking brake handle right under it should have white lettering. But the JG is silent on the hood release handle. (Or, at least, I can't find it in the JG.)

The 61-62 JM addresses the parking brake handle on page 18 and indicates the lettering is white. The hood release handle is addressed on page 17, along with the cowl vent handle. According to the JM, the hood release lettering is also white.

On my '61, the hood release handle lettering is white and my parking brake handle lettering is black. I believe both are original to the car.

Hi.....On my '62 the lettering is white on both the parking brake and hood release and both original to the car. At least after cleaning the gunk out....if they were black, they ain't no mo.

I need to correct the portion of my November 9th post copied above.I have no idea what I was thinking, but my brake handle lettering is white as indicated in the JM.
