I recently bought a 67, Ermine White roadster. The tank sticker option number for tires is 02P92AA. Under the description (although it is hard to read) appears to read "775X14X2 PLY WSW". I am looking to replace the tires with the proper size in a radial. First question- is this the correct original size? Second question- Is the current, correct radial size 205/75 R 14? Third question- What is the width dimension of the white wall? The current tires on it are incorrect. I can tell that the width of the white wall is too wide from just looking at it (approximately 1 inch). Fourth question- Any recommendations on where to buy 4? I have looked at "tirerack.com" and it appears that they are reasonable.

The original tire size was 7.75-15, and '67 whitewalls were 5/8" wide. 205/75-15 is the corresponding radial replacement size. Goodyear, Firestone, Michelin, and others have current 205/75-15 radials, but probably not with the correct whitewall width. If you can't find what you want, Diamond Back Tire in South Carolina can put any width whitewall you want on current, modern radials (www.dbtires.com) .- Top

P 205 - 75 x 15. Costco has Firestones and Goodyears that have the (or at least close) width. Buy cheaper tires ($50 each or so) as they will dry rot before being used up. Personally, I would consider a set of Diamondback Redlines made on Firestone cores. Great looking and ride is excellent especially with a white carFounder - Carolinas Chapter NCRS- Top

I bought the Firestone FR380. The white wall isn't EXACTLY 5/8" of an inch, but it is really close.Chris Enstrom
