Here's an old gas receipt I recently found in my 71 coupe. Been in there since April of 73. I thought for sure it would lead me to the original owner. Wasn't able to find a phone number, but I did get a current address. Sent him a letter..................... No reply.

I took a Budweiser beer can, peeled it open, folded it over itself a few times to make it real stiff and drilled 2 holes in it, one to attach it to a threaded hole in the head, the other was the new guide in which the push=rod travelled.

And, he'll probably argue STRONGLY that the beer can was a form of factory original construction!

I love threads like this.....

In 1986 when I bought my '59, while cleaning the interior I found this stuff in the interior holes in the rocker panels on each side...... Harrah's Lighter, ladies pencil lipstick, and a mint 1959 penny. Also found a 1960-D dime but I think I spent it!

I lost my owners search before 1970 when it was in Springfield Ohio, but some of these items tells me it may have been further west in it's earlier days. If anybody owns these items let me know!
