    Early 71 power brake line

Can someone post a picture of a late 1970 or early 1971 LS5 power brake booster metal vacuum line? I'm looking specifically to see the shape and attachment points of the metal tube that connects to the rubber booster line. My car is a very early 71 S/N 1632, and the 71 AIM shows the metal line connected to the base of the carb, but mine goes to a port on the intake manifold.

The one on my car looks to have been bent a few times over the years and it does not have the bracket to attach it to the throttle cable bracket. It appears that someone filed the bracket off at one point in time and I'm looking to replace it with a correct one.

I ordered one from Paragon (part number 4064) and it does not fit the way I expected. Plus the plating on it is very bright, I can't imagine they were this bright when new.

    Thanks
    Tom

Thomas I have a late May E29 LS-5 with PB. I bought part # 4062 and it was exactly like my original. I'm not sure it would be the same for a 71. Notice the bend at the end if your original doesn't have that then you bought the right one. hope this helps

        Richard,

Thanks for the reply. I was torn between which one to get since the application discription betewwn te two parts was similar. Since my car is a very early build 71, it has a mixture of 70 and 71 parts on it.
