Assembly Line worker Goofing off in 65

This is a hand written note on the inside of a 65 door panel. The worker wrote "another one just went by saddle". I don't know if he was board and writting to himself or if he had a bet going with another worker on how many saddled interior cars would be assembled that day???
Anyone else have any hand written notes they have found on thier car? I'd like to start a thread with pictures of notes left by workers.

We judged a 1969 at Bloomington this past summer that was, I believe, built just before the strike. The spare was put on the ground for the first time ever and on the back side was handwritten in white crayon...F%@# YOU.

    Obviously a happy UAW worker.

My '63 Roadster had the word (or name) "HALL" written in 3 inch letters, in green crayon on the passenger floorboard, just ahead of the toolbox.

I have no idea what it meant.

One of my 67 door panels has the word "SORRY" written on it with black grease pencil and an arrow showing where the edge of the overlapping vinyl on the cardboard is trimmed very very close.

I had a 66 that had THE BATMOBLE written with a dremmel tool in the rear inside under the carpet, nice cursive job as i recall.

My $0.02 after twenty years in an assembly plant : The tire tub note was either a joke or a heartfelt message to a coworker down the line. Not intended for the customer. "another saddle one went by" seems to me to be a message of some sort to an inspector down the line.

We restored a 1965 (I believe) in our shop, and on the back of one door panel was written, "I want to go to St. Louis too."

                Hi,
The underside of the rear deck of my 71 has 3 initials and a date scratched into the fiberglass.
                Regards,

Wrapped up on the radio harness of my Nov. 63 build 1964 was a photo of someone's wife/girlfriend/sister. Still have the picture.

In looking over an early 1970, the owner proudly showed me the passenger side door panel with "Merry Xmas" written on the back of it. The ink stamped date was late December 1969.

This is a little off the subject but speaking of messages, my 67' has the following note written on the backside of the gas lid "do not leave car unattended while filling", evendntly back in the day when gas stations actually preformed the service of putting gas in your car. I've no doubt it's the original lid and I don't have the heart to try and remove the message.

Though not written by a factory worker, I found a prior owner's name, social security number and hometown written on the back sides of both door panels on my '64. I suppose he wrote it there to help identify the car if it were stolen.

It's probably not something that he would choose to do today if he had it to do over again...
