Does anyone have a problem with a 67 BB having a casting date of late Septmeber 66, engine assembly of late Jan 67, and a trim tag build date of Feb 6th? Pad stamp looks OK, good characters and depth as well as spacing. It's just a heck of a lot of time to pass between casting and assembly....I am leary. Anyone have any thoughts????/ THanks as always. ARA. By the way, it passed Regional judging as having met judging standards.

Re: 67 Big Block casting date
I recently saw an orphan '351 block on ebay that had a 10/31 casting date and a Jan something assembly date. Stamps looked good and fairly sure it was legit as people don't usually restamp bare blocks unless they are going into a specific car.- Top

Re: 67 Big Block casting date
Always remember that the block casting date, other than predating the engine assembly is otherwise related only tenuosuly as determined by the GM "Last in First out" inventory at the engine plants. That can cause some lengthy delays between the dates.Bill Clupper #618- Top
