Plug wires for a 1x4 283.

I want to replace the plug wires on my 1x4 1959 283 Corvette with a set of wires that have the right angle boots on both ends. Someone here a while ago, gave me the NAPA part number, but that number was not for a 283. Does anyone know who else would carry them or is there a kit out there with which I could make my own wires? I'm tired of mashing the wires under the shielding.

Have you checked with any of the Corvette vendors? Paragon, Corvette Central, Lecric Limited to name just a few. Call them to be sure they have what you want.

What you are looking for is the wiring set that was used on the '64-65 327/375hp engines. That is the only factory set that I'm aware of for smallblock Chevy that uses the right angle boots on the distributor ends. They are still available via AC-Delco I believe, and I'd highly recommend the AC/Delco set over one from the reproduction houses. Wire routings are essentially the same '58-65.
