    3810 Holley Carburetor

    I wanted everyone's opinion on the best way to repair this damage on the vent tube boss on this 3810 holley I just purchased.. The carburetor was damaged in shipping and I am not a happy camper..

    I would send it back to whomever you bought it from and either have them refund your money or if that's not an option, just use some JB weld. My two cents. PT

      Oh No, they are too hard to find in that cond. have it fixed.

        This one is dated 682 so it's about five weeks from the cars Sept 23,1966 St Louis body build.

        I don't know if silver solder may be a better repair or if it will even take..

          Try this:

          Pot metal repair is easy with Muggy Weld Super Alloy 1 pot metal repair kit. A Ford COE emblem is restored with a simple propane torch.

            counter bore the hole deeper,get a longer vent tube and then use a good epoxy the hold the piece to the vent tube

              Along the same lines that Clem is suggesting, you could have another vent tube made and make the hole a light press fit where no epoxy would be necessary. Brooks Glover (2141)

                Contact Jon Hardgrove carbking@advertisnet.com He restored an AFB for me that was damaged in shipping. The damage broke one of the "knobs" around the outer air ring. He built it up by tig welding in new material and then grinding off. Can't tell the difference. Send him the pictures and see if he can fix it.
