C3 rear caliper brackets

Hi all, for a '69 the JM says they should be black,but other souces say natural ? Is the JM correct or not? Thanks,Graeme.

Hi Graeme,
If you do a search for 'caliper bracket', about half way down the 1st page of threads you'll see a thread called '71 Caliper Bracket Color, Opinions Needed' from last February. Joe L. posts that he believes that 68-72 rear caliper brackets were natural cast iron, not painted.
