    pulley alignment

    My friend has a 65 pretty original coupe he is restoring. Trouble lining up the water pump pulley with the bottom harmonic balancer pulley . the water pump pulley is back about 1/4 inch. He is using correct parts. Does he have to shim out the water pump? Is this normal?
