i think i want to change out the main harness on my 70 lt1. i thought about rewraping the old one but i want the car to look new. is the 70 lt1 wire harness different form a base 70 corvette because of the ti stuff? or does one fit all? i saved the original ti harness under the hood and i will reuse that one. i try to use the original parts where i can.

I am looking at the Lectric Limited wiring diagram with the list of harnesses they have available, and it appears that the manual trans engine harnes would be the same for all applications. They do list the TI amp box ext harness, and the TI Aux. harness, as being separate from the main harness. I would have thought the BB and SB applications had different harnesses, but not according to this chart I have. Maybe not gospel, but this is what I see on the chart.

I purchased a forward lamp harness for a late 69 from LL with all the fiber optics in it and few years ago (over $100 more than the harness they offer without). It turned out well. I see in the catalog they offer it for the 70 as well.

For the car I judged they must have ordered the "without," or maybe it was an "economy" restoration. The owner told me that was the way it came, so maybe he didn't know either. That will teach me to believe the car owners at juudging.
