I have a 75 L48 coupe. The data plate on the console says 350 cubic inches, 8.5 to 1 compression and 270 lb feet of torque. I do not know if this data is correct or original. Perhaps someone modified the console at one time. Can anyone help? What is the correct info for the console plate?

Re: 1975 console data plate
Gary,
I am just flipping through the spec guide(68-72 vol. 2, 3rd edition, winter 2000) and from what I see there your plate would not appear to be correct for the 75 L48. This book shows 350 ci 8.5-1, and 255 lb/ft torque for the 75. I see in this same book that 73, 76, and 77 L48 all were the 350 ci, 8.5-1, with 270 lb/ft torque. I am not sure about the 77 (I thougt it had the later style console as in 78-82), but first guess that plate (or maybe just the sticker or emblem itself) was from the 73 or the 76.
