Here we go again; fan clutch rebuild

    Hello:
Trying to find someone to rebuild a 70 Z28 original fan clutch. Communication for Fred Oliva and Vinny Catalano is next to impossible
with phone numbers given. Does anybody have a 3rd reliable source
    for this service??
    Thanks; Larry

I spoke with Vinny the first time I called. Fred must be busy, he never returned a call or email.

Fred is so swamped that he just doesn't take calls/answer emails. His fan clutch work is a 'night job' on top of his day job. I know this offends some, but, hey, that the way he runs his business...

You pack the clutch off to him and it basically sits in queue until it's pulled for restoration. At that time, he confirms the resto cost (some cores are so far gone; numerous broken fins, Etc. that it might not be possible to 'save' it) and tells you how to pay.

Yep, I know this isn't the way most businessmen operate, but don't shoot the messenger! It's what Fred does...

On the Z-28 clutch core, that's a RARE item! Fred has done quite a few and has a pretty good reputation in the Camaro crowd, to my knowledge.

You might want to contact Jerry Macniesh (isn't he the Z-28 guru), being as it is a Z-28 item. I have a friend who sent him an intake for repair and kind of got the understanding that he got invloved and had sources for just about anything Z-28 related. I may have some contact info somewhere, or can get it for you if you are interested.
